I just read an article on Psyblog
It is called Why Men Prefer Direct Pick-Up Lines. It is interesting because it talks about experiments that were done to see why men always use direct approaches. Most men stated that they can't tell whether a women is interested or not. Even though women may think the are dropping hits or sending signs. Most men can not pick up on them. At the end they ask the question of Who has the guts to risk rejection with a direct approach? This is a good question. Anyway Most guys I know say then women are just to complicated. I believe that men just like to over complicate the simple things women do. Girl Power I guess.
I understand what you are saying, but im one of those guys who can pick up when a girl is sending me signs. I get along great with girls consenquently, and i'm not the only guy with this supposed "ability." You have to be understanding to realize this, or just have seen a lot of girls send signs
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't see how most guys can't see signs, I mean us girls send them so often you'd think that they would have to pick up a few hints now and again. Maybe the guys are just too shy or full of themselves to do the asking. Men are so complicated sometimes life is better off without them.
ReplyDeleteOh my this could start up some great conversations... or should I say controversies? Us girls seem to think we put ourselves out there and make it obvious that we like the guy. On the other hand the guys don't see it that way. They may see it as a good friendship or they simply don't connect with our "pick-up lines." Relationships are confusing, but it's normal for individuals to experience this.
ReplyDeleteI think if a guy really wants a girl, he will put all of his fear aside and go ask her out. It is just a defense mechanism because most guys do have a great fear of rejection. If I personally got turned down I would go to the next guy. I am speaking from a girl's perspective though.
