A good example of being conscious:
Has anybody ever taken a route so many times you don't even think about it when you do it. I don't know how many times I have drove to work and then forgot a whole section of road. I don't remember driving that stretch of road at all. Can that be healthy? I mean I make it to work but not remembering something like that.
Even the test that I took. I took the Gay people vs. Straight People. My hypothesis was that I would push more toward the straight people because I am straight. I was right. This test was really weird though. I figure because I am straight I would naturally have an automatic preference toward straight people. I don't think that your reaction time should make a difference on which one you have a preference to. I have no problem with gays or straights. I don't have a preference at all. I guess I will have to see how my results are on other tests.

I really can't tell when I'm awake anymore especially when I'm at school or doing homework. I'll just space out randomly. I dont' think many people are conscious of what they are doing all of the time. I totally agree with you on the whole driving thing. Maybe learning how to meditate will help hold our consintration.
ReplyDeleteI also took the test Gay vs Straight and I also thought that I would have more of a preference for straights because I am straight. The test came out that I have no preference, which i agree with because I don't really care what other people do in their own lives. But I agree they judge you on your time and how the mistakes you make in each group.
